The 3 Days Kibale Chimpanzee tour is a breathe taking experience that grants you an opportunity to get on a physical contact with our close relatives, the chimpanzees while in the Kibale tropical rain forest. While on the forest walk searching for Chimps you will also see some other forest animals such as elephants, hippos, warthogs, buffaloes, huge forest hogs, leopards, and lions plus birds species. The park is a habitat to around 13 different primate species, which is the highest number in East Africa such as the Grey Cheeked Mangabey Monkeys, Olive Baboon Monkey, Blue Monkeys, Black and White Colobus, Red Colobus Monkeys, L’Hoest Monkeys, Red Tailed Monkey, the Grey Vervet Monkey and Chimpanzees.

Programme for the 3 Days Kibale Chimpanzee tour
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After a nice breakfast, you will meet with our company guide for briefing and drive to Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee trekking the next day. You will have enroute lunch in fort portal town and arrive in the evening, check in your booked accommodation and retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
You will start your day with a heavy breakfast and set off for a morning chimp trekking adventure tour into the forests of Kibale. You will enjoy sights of a number of primates such as colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkey and bird species during your trail before magical sights of chimps. You will be allowed to spend one hour with these primates before coming back to the starting point. Drive back to your lodge for lunch and later in the evening go for an epic Bigodi swamp walk to experience a variety of bird species such as Blue turcos, primates like black and white colobus monkey, varvets among others and interractions with the surrounding community. After the swamp walk, you will get back to your lodge relax after a long day and then retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala
After breakfast, drive back to Kampala through another interesting route of Fort portal-Ibanda-Mbarara – Kampala. You may have lunch from either Mbarara or at the Equator. A stopover at the Equator is always rewarding with water experiences and photography with your legs on separate hemispheres of the world. After, proceed with our journey to either Kampala for drop off or Entebbe Airport for flight connections.
